I found the post "If You're not Passionate About Your Blog, Don't Start a Blog", to be very true. You have to have an interesting blog that captures readers and fans. Readers care to read blogs if they see that you care to write them.
Blogs should be able to teach the reader about themselves and more importantly the topic the blogger writes about. There is no point to blog about something that you don't truly care about.
